Capron Podologie offers a wide range of blades to meet all practitioners' needs. Available in several sizes, shapes, and packages, they allow the tool to be perfectly adapted to each type of treatment.
- Gouge blades: fitted to a round handle, gouge blades can be used to remove corns and calluses or to work on grooves. The choice of width (1.5 to 12 mm) allows them to be adapted to each area of work.
- Scalpel blades: combined with a flat handle, they can be used to work on areas of hyperkeratosis to relieve pressure and pain and achieve a smooth, even surface after treatment. The different sizes offer versatility to suit the area to be treated.
To complete your hygiene protocols, discover our adhesive bandages and plasters designed for post-treatment protection and healing.
The choice of gouge blade depends on the type of care provided, the morphology of the area to be treated, and the podiatrist's preferences. Here are a few criteria to help guide your selection.
A narrow blade (1-3 mm) is used for precision care, particularly on plantar or interdigital corns, or areas that are difficult to access. It allows for optimal control and is essential for meticulous care and highly sensitive areas.
A wider blade is preferred when treating large areas of hyperkeratosis or thick calluses. It is ideal for roughing before finishing and allows a greater amount of material to be removed in a single stroke, offering fast and consistent work on the plantar areas (heel, forefoot).
Hygiene and safety: sterile single-use blades are recommended to save time and ensure perfect compliance with health regulations.
Capron Podologie guides every professional in choosing their instruments to guarantee effective and comfortable care for the patient.
To complete your treatment, explore our range of creams and serums, ideal for moisturizing and regenerating the skin after treatment.
