MC2 GTAV MICROMOTOR

The Bien-Air MC2-GTAV micromotor is the spray-free version of the MC2-GT. Its “AV” suffix indicates the absence of an internal irrigation system: a deliberate choice for practitioners whose practice does not require water cooling, or who prefer to work in dry conditions for clinical or organizational reasons.

Capron Podologie distributes this model as a dedicated solution for dry podiatry: moisture-free wound care, filing of thickened nails without irrigation, surface preparation for orthoplasty, and work on resistant keratinized skin.

Choosing a spray-free micromotor does not mean working under suboptimal conditions: it is a technical choice suited to specific indications. In podiatry, several procedures are commonly performed dry: the reduction of mild to moderate hyperkeratosis does not require active cooling; working on hard nails without infection does not involve a spray; and the preparation of sites for orthoplasties or nail prostheses is always done dry.

Furthermore, a micromotor without a spray circuit offers concrete mechanical advantages: there is no internal hydraulic circuit to maintain, no O-rings to replace, and no risk of blockage or leakage in the water circuit. Maintenance is limited to standard sterilization procedures and mechanical upkeep of the rotor.

Key differentiator vs. MC2-GTIR: same GT configuration, same max speed, but no spray circuit on the GTAV. Slightly larger diameter (24 vs. 23 mm) and heavier weight (111 vs. 93 g). The MC2-GTAV is mechanically simpler, more robust for intensive dry use, and does not require an O-ring. It is not recommended when water cooling is required.
