Volodalen modules —

Volodalen modules represent a new generation of components for the manufacture of custom orthotics, designed in partnership with the Swiss laboratory Volodalen—a global leader in the study of motor preferences. Available in four biomechanical profiles—Aerial, Terrestrial, Rigid, and Hypermobile—these thermoformable modules allow podiatrists to precisely tailor each orthotic insole to the patient’s natural movement patterns, whether to treat a functional condition or optimize athletic performance.

The Volodalen Method for Personalized Podiatry 一

Developed by the Swiss Volodalen Research Center, which specializes in assessing motor preferences and training healthcare professionals, the Volodalen Method is based on a fundamental observation: there is no single, universal “correct” foot movement, but rather efficient movements unique to each individual. The motor skills slider, which incorporates the inspiration and expiration chains, allows each individual to be placed on a continuum ranging from double flexion to double extension, between the “Earth” profile and the “Air” profile. By offering the Volodalen modules in its catalog, Capron Podologie provides podiatrists with a practical tool to translate this analysis into custom orthotics, perfectly aligned with each patient’s biomechanical preferences.

Thermoformable modules designed for each motor profile 一

Practitioners trained in the method learn to identify excessive extension and flexion that cause functional disorders, to assess Earth-based and Air-based motor preferences, and to position them on the Motricities Slider® between Earth-based (thighs) and Air-based (feet). The Volodalen modules available from Capron Podology — Rigid Heel, Rigid Forefoot, Aerial Foot, Aerial Thigh, Terrestrial Foot, Terrestrial Thigh, Fluid Hypermobile Whole, and Fluid Hypermobile Center — correspond directly to these profiles, featuring specific material combinations (NovaLast, NovaFlux, Poron Vive, Noene, etc.) designed to meet the mechanical needs of each patient type. With Capron, podiatrists have access to the entire product line through a single ordering point, with support from advisors trained in the field of podiatry.
